Welcome to La Sirena Michelle
La Sirena Michelle was born in 2022 in the heart of Medford, Oregon, when Michelle and her partner Alexei set out to create something truly meaningful — a brand rooted in healing, beauty, and the wisdom of the natural world. Alexei drew by hand our signature Iconic mermaid logo (with Michelle's profile/facial structure) and takes care of some of the backend production. Michelle began channeling the formulation for our first product "Golden Ayurvedic Hair oil" after a life changing Hape' ceremony that completely put me back in alignment.
The Story Behind the Brand
Michelle is the creative director and formulator behind every LSM product and treatment. Her work is the living expression of over a decade spent immersed in a holistic lifestyle, not perfect by any means but all of my experiences accumulated has made me even more passionate about holistic healing. — a journey shaped by a deep love for health, beauty, and spirituality. She has been vegan, pescatarian, tried all types of lifestyles but eventually found that living plant-based (not 100% vegan at all) but as plant based as possible whilst still incorporating some carnivore practices has worked well for me. I continue to avoid processed sugar and foods 90% of the time.
With a background spanning culinary arts, herbalism, and a passionate devotion to natural hair and skin care, Michelle brings a rare and layered perspective to everything she creates. She doesn't just make products — she crafts experiences that invite you to slow down, reconnect, and care for yourself with intention. I was triggered onto my path as a teenager when I was experiencing poor digestive health that began to interrupt my daily life. After an ER visit to address digestion issues, I left disturbed, I quickly became obsessed with holistic remedies for healing digestion, clearing skin, & losing weight. I kicked the habit of smoking weed, (which I knew was just an escape from my life), changed my friend groups, started waking up before school in the mornings to jog around the neighborhood, and I just had this fire burning through me, that my life is bigger than I know, that I need to leave Houston where I grew up, that this was not my life in front of me that I could see for myself. At 17 1/2 I relocated by myself to Louisiana with my maternal grandmother.
Michelle spent a few years of her early twenties interning in New Orleans at different herb shops with multiple herbalists in the city, with this and her own practices of trying to unlearn her unhealthy processed foods upbringing as well as the wisdom of hoodoo channeled from her ancestors, she gradually began to have a relationship with the different herbs local/native as well as non-native types. She healed herself from common illnesses with Reishi Mushroom, Queen Anne's lace, Ginger for example, all of these wonderful herbs she discovered in each living moment by a need or curiosity. Sometimes not even knowing the full background yet being drawn to them.
What We Create
Every LSM product — from our nourishing skincare and handcrafted tinctures to our ritual tools — is formulated with intention and care. Each one reflects Michelle's belief that true beauty and wellness are inseparable, and that the most powerful ingredients are the ones nature has always offered us. I'm always inspired to explore the ways I can create something beautiful from scratch and that expands upon our existing ecosystem of creations.
